Legal Counsel (Shipyard Business)

Our client is one of the largest shipyard businesses in the world, and are looking for a Legal Counsel based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities :

• Providing legal advice and support to Singapore and regional operations
• Advising a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters / projects;
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal and transactional documentation such as newbuilding contracts, conversion contracts, repair contracts, recycling and module fabrication contracts, joint venture agreements, leases, vendor and commercial contracts;
• Advising on regulatory and compliance matters;
• Applying for and maintaining relevant permits and licences where required;
• Co-ordinating with the corporate secretarial team on matters such as, preparing board papers, resolutions;
• Engaging and liaising with governmental authorities where required; and
• Engaging and managing external lawyers where required
