Reports to : Production Manager
Role Overview
The Production Assistant Manager supports the Production Manager in executing production schedules, supervising daily operations, and ensuring safe, efficient, and timely delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and implementing daily / weekly production schedules.
- Supervise line leaders and operators to achieve production targets.
- Monitor machine performance and report breakdowns or maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with QA / QC and warehouse teams to maintain production flow and quality.
- Track and analyse downtime, output, and other performance metrics; recommend improvements.
- Ensure safety standards and housekeeping practices are followed on the shop floor.
- Train and guide production staff, supporting their skill development.
- Generate production reports and submit them to the Production Manager.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Production Management, Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or related field.Experience
3–5 years of experience in production, operations, or manufacturing (supervisory level preferred).Familiarity with production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.Hands-on experience coordinating with maintenance, QA, and logistics teams.Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of production processes and equipment operation.Ability to prepare, execute, and monitor production schedules.Proficiency in MS Office and ERP / MRP systems.Good communication, leadership, and team management skills.An analytical mindset to resolve production delays and bottlenecks.Tell employers what skills you have
