- Sales Strategy : Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets for fabric and apparel manufacturing in the Singapore and global market. Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to formulate effective sales plans.
- Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, including retailers, wholesalers, and garment manufacturers. Understand their requirements, provide product information, negotiate contracts, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Business Development : Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and acquiring new clients in the Singapore market. Conduct market research, attend industry events, and network with potential customers to expand the customer base.
- Sales Team Management : Lead and manage a team of sales representatives or account managers. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team meets sales targets. Set sales quotas, monitor performance, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Pricing and Contract Negotiations : Determine pricing strategies based on market conditions, production costs, and customer requirements. Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with clients to secure profitable contracts and maintain competitive advantage.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting : Analyze sales data, track market trends, and prepare sales forecasts and reports for management. Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales performance, optimize inventory levels, and enhance profitability.
- Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, design, and logistics to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with internal teams to address customer needs, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Customer Service : Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints. Maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their feedback, and take necessary actions to meet their expectations.
- Market Intelligence : Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences in the fabric and apparel manufacturing sector. Monitor market dynamics, identify potential risks, and propose strategies to capitalize on market opportunities.
- Budgeting and Sales Analysis : Develop and manage sales budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective sales operations. Analyze sales performance, track key performance indicators, and provide regular reports to management.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior manager, across borders and internal matrix.
Job requirements
- At least 5 years or more of successful experience at similar Positions.
- Experience working within the apparel industry and an understanding of design, product development, sourcing / manufacturing, and downstream supply chain.
- Strong preference for existing network of brand relationships.
- Ability to navigate complex buying organizations, including executive decision makers and key influencers, across multiple geographies.
- Proven leadership skill managing Sales, Marketing, Merchandise, Customer Service Teams and work with operations team.
