Job Purpose
The Director will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the company’s wine wholesale operations, retail outlets, and F&B restaurant. This role is responsible for driving business growth, maintaining profitability, ensuring regulatory compliance, and upholding the company’s brand reputation and service standards across all business segments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Development
- Develop and execute the company’s strategic business plan to achieve revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability goals.
- Identify new business opportunities, including partnerships, product lines, and expansion into new markets or channels.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
2. Financial & Operational Management
Oversee the company’s P&L, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure financial sustainability.Set and monitor KPIs for wholesale, retail, and restaurant operations.Optimize inventory management, supply chain efficiency, and cost control measures.Ensure compliance with wine importation, storage, distribution, and alcohol licensing regulations.3. Retail & Restaurant Oversight
Drive retail and restaurant performance, including customer experience, menu innovation, and wine programs.Develop promotional campaigns and events to increase sales and strengthen brand positioning.Maintain high operational standards across outlets, focusing on quality, service, and ambiance.4. Sales & Marketing
Guide the sales team to achieve wholesale and retail sales targets.Strengthen key client relationships with restaurants, hotels, distributors, and private customers.Oversee marketing activities, including branding, social media, events, and partnerships.5. People Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and key managers to foster a high-performance culture.Ensure adequate training and development for staff on wine knowledge, service standards, and sales techniques.Promote a positive, collaborative, and compliant workplace environment.6. Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to all local regulations, including liquor licensing, health & safety, employment, and food hygiene standards.Manage business risks, including financial, operational, and reputational risks.7. Reporting & Governance
Provide regular reports to the Board of Directors on business performance, opportunities, and risks.Support decision-making through data analysis and market intelligence.Qualifications & Experience
At least 8–10 years of senior management experience, preferably in wine, F&B, or retail industries.Proven track record in strategic planning, P&L management, and business growth.Strong network and knowledge of the wine industry and F&B market trends.Tell employers what skills you have
