To drive our global growth we are creating a new Executive level role in our leadership team with the new Chief Commercial Officer. This role is intended to lead all commercial activities globally.
The new role will have overall responsibility for Pomelo’s Commercial strategy and its implementation as well as the hiring and development of the Sales team. The successful candidate will lead the revenue generation strategy and execution as well as manage the entire sales and marketing process. The role will propose sales targets and have the responsibility to deliver the agreed revenue. The individual will be a thought leader in the Payments ecosystem, with a drive to disrupt the current market.
The successful candidate will possess solid communication skills, take ownership of issues and be accountable for outcomes with clients. - Define and deliver company revenue targets
- Lead ongoing day-to-day interactions with customers across the sales pipeline
- Create and implement Partnership strategies that support long-term revenue growth
- Recruit, Motivate, and Manage a distributed Sales team, ensuring they are able to deliver the required performance to achieve agreed sales growth targets.

This role will play a critical function in Pomelo’s leadership team, driving sales and partnerships and ensuring all necessary tools, processes, procedures and staff are in place to successfully support revenue and partnerships goalsCreate a standardised go-to-market approach to clients and coordinate its implementation across sales channels, strategic account management, and marketingDevelop growth strategies with the executive teamCreate accountability within the company by developing appropriate metrics and coordinating compensation and promotions aligned with these metricsProspect and close relationships with key target clientsEstablish both short-term targets and long-term sales strategy, including industries targeted, and revenue projectionsMonitor the strategies and processes across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition thru to successful launch and follow-on business engagementsFill management gaps by building and training individuals and teams in Sales Leadership, Partnership Development and Account ManagementDevelop and implement robust sales management processes – pipeline, account planning, and proposalsOversee all Channel / Partner Development adding new sales channels and 3rd party resellers and partnersRepresent Pomelo on industry bodies and forums.Direct in-market resources to assure that all goals are supported in a cost effective, timely manner, with a resulting high level of client satisfaction.Skills / Competencies
