Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal Industrial Engineer to lead and drive implementations of Industry 4.0 solutions across Collins Aerospace manufacturing sites. As a senior member of the team, you will take on a leadership role in the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies, IoT systems, and automation solutions that drive efficiency, quality, and innovation in industrial operations. This position demands deep technical expertise, a strategic mindset, and will serve as a mentor to junior engineers while ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects. In addition, you will be a key contributor to our continuous improvement and innovation efforts, helping to shape the future of our industrial operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

(Essential roles, responsibilities and activities a candidate can expect to assume in this position)

• Lead the design and integration of Industry 4.0 technologies into new and existing systems, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
• Lead the design and optimization of complex automation projects, ensuring high levels of efficiency and scalability.
• Lead large scale industrial engineering projects aimed at improving manufacturing / operational processes, increasing efficiency and productivity.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of manufacturing / operational sites to identify inefficiencies, performance gaps, and areas for process optimization and improvement.
• Drives discussions with leadership teams to align engineering initiatives with business objectives and operational goals.
• Lead and champions best practices in the development of detailed process documentation and standardization.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and systems to enhance manufacturing and operational capabilities by staying ahead of industry trends and implementing innovative solutions that drive continuous system improvement and performance.
• Ensures compliance with industry standards and best practices in system design, deployment and maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross functional teams.

Qualification and Education Requirements ) :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial / Mechanical Engineering or related field

Minimum years of experience in role :

At least 10-12 years
