Roles & Responsibilities
The Operations Executive plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of our shipping operations, focusing on vessel scheduling, daily operations, conflict resolution, and customer relationship management. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual with strong communication and problem-solving skills. The Operations Executive will collaborate closely with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries, accurate documentation, and optimal resource utilization.
What you will be doing :
Data Management
- Ensure all data is entered accurately and promptly into the company's systems.
- Maintain up-to-date records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory.
Shipping Coordination
Coordinate with shipping agents to obtain accurate vessel ETAs.Liaise between charterers and the shipping team to ensure smooth communication and alignment.Track shipments and address any issues that may arise.Vessel Scheduling :
Efficiently schedule vessels to meet delivery timelines and optimize resource utilization.Coordinate with port authorities, agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth vessel operations.Daily Operations Management
Oversee daily operations, including loading, unloading, and vessel movements.Monitor vessel performance and address any operational challenges.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.Conflict Resolution
Effectively manage conflicts and disputes related to shipping operations.Negotiate and mediate with stakeholders to reach mutually agreeable solutions.Escalate issues to management as needed.Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.Ensure customer satisfaction with our shipping services.What we are looking for
Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or a related field.2+ years of experience in shipping operations or a similar role. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation, and regulations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant shipping software.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Experience in conflict resolution and customer relationship management.Tell employers what skills you have
