Director of Sales Development (Singapore)

The Opportunity :
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven leader with exceptional energy, passion, and initiative to oversee a team of Sales Development Managers for MongoDB, the world’s fastest-growing database.
As the Senior Manager of Sales Development, you will focus on leading through Recruitment, Enablement, and Execution, ensuring the ongoing success and growth of the Sales Development organization in your region. This role will emphasize developing top-tier talent, driving team performance, and advancing sales pipeline goals to support MongoDB’s continued momentum.
Qualified candidates will be based in Singapore and are open to a flexible, hybrid work schedule that includes regular in-office collaboration.

What you will be doing
- Guide and mentor the Sales Development Management team to consistently surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual performance targets.
- Empower the team to strategically prospect, identify opportunities, and build a robust sales pipeline.
- Lead proactive recruitment efforts for high-caliber Sales Development Managers and Account Development Representatives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships that drive growth and business opportunities with Sales & Eco-system leaders.
- Embody MongoDB’s culture and values, inspiring others to follow by example.
- Deliver exceptional coaching and mentorship through a deep understanding of sales principles, the company’s business model, and the sales methodology.
- Actively participate in prospect qualification and discovery calls / meetings to ensure alignment with team goals.
- Provide senior management with weekly performance summaries and accurate forecasts to guide decision-making.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to establish scalable processes for lead management, follow-up SLAs, and conversion optimization.
- Lead and collaborate in global projects to continue to innovate & scale the Sales Development organisation.
- Define and manage KPIs, monitor team activities, and drive execution based on data-driven insights.
- Partner closely with Field Sales and Inside Sales leadership to optimize performance and align pipeline development with the needs of the Sales organization.
What you will bring to the table
Proven experience in building and leading high-performing sales teams within a SaaS environmentMinimum 2–3 years of team management experience in SaaS, ideally including second-line leadership experienceDemonstrated experience leading teams across the APAC region; experience managing most or all of APAC markets is preferredExperience in developing and executing regional sales strategy aligned with global business goals3–5 years of hands-on experience in the full sales cycle as an individual contributor (field or inside sales), ensuring strong commercial acumen and credibility when engaging with Field Sales leaders and senior stakeholdersProven experience in building & leading sales teams.Ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise software technologyAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and proven track record of overachievement and hitting sales targetsExcellent leadership and influencing skills; ability to build strong business partnerships both outside and within the organizationSkilled at business planning and diligent at measuring and communicating progress toward the plan, identifying roadblocks, and coming up with appropriate solutionsSkilled in managing time and resources; sound approach to qualifying opportunitiesMongoDB is committed to providing any necessary accommodations for individuals with disabilities within our application and interview process.
