Job description

You will provide basic and advanced Respiratory Care servicesto patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of thecardio-respiratorysystem.

Responsibilities

Maintain a continuous improvement mindset to seek outopportunities for enhancements to quality, productivity and / orpatient safety and care
Collaborate withintensivists and respiratory physicians to manage mechanicallyventilated patients, facilitate weaning & liberation frommechanical ventilation
Initiate, titrate andwean patients off non-invasive ventilation
Formulate appropriate Respiratory Care plans and / orchange in therapy based on patient assessment
Assist in critical care procedures such as Airwayintubation, Bronchoscopy, Percutaneous Trancheostomyetc.
Perform diagnostic procedures such asarterial punctures, blood gas analysis
Facilitate trancheostomy tube change and stoma care,humidification and aerosol therapy
Respond toMET (Medical Emergency Team)calls

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy orequivalent

Minimum 2 years experience inrespiratory therapy in ICUpreferred
