ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Executive, Trade Performance at CU LINES Pte Ltd, you will play a critical role in analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing trade performance to drive the company’s business growth. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making. This position is ideal for individuals with trade or finance experience and a strong understanding of business intelligence tools.
Weekly and Monthly LH Analysis Reporting :
- Monitor long-haul service performance and analyze data with weekly & monthly reports to the Trade Performance Manager.
- Monitor and analyze trade performance metrics, including revenue, costs, market share, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare regular trade performance reports, highlighting key insights, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Research & Development
Prepare slot cost calculations to support new service studyTrack and monitor the performance of new services and operational changes.Work closely with Trade, NPD, R&D to identify potential service improvements.Liaise with Operations, Procurement, and Marine teams for tariff analysis and vessel simulations.Coordinate with Trade teams to analyze cargo flow trends and projections.Engage with local agencies to gather and analyze market intelligence.Financial Reconciliation & Cost Analysis :
Reconcile accruals with actual transactions and make necessary adjustments.Evaluate operational costs to assess their validity and reasonableness.Identify discrepancies or unusual expenditures and investigate underlying causes.Collaborate with procurement and operational teams to rectify excessive or unreasonable costs.Monitor cost-saving initiatives to ensure targets are met.Revenue / Cost Settlement :
Oversee settlement processes for fixed costs, excess charges, and refrigerated container (RF) plug expenses with partners.Any other ad-hoc duties tasks as assigned.Business Intelligence (BI) Tools Utilization :
Use BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView to gather, visualize, and interpret data.Automate performance reporting and dashboard creation for easy access to critical trade performance data.Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement :
Work with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, to align trade performance goals.Provide actionable recommendations based on trade performance data to management and relevant teams.Process Improvement :
Identify inefficiencies in trade performance and propose process improvements to enhance overall trade outcomes.Implement best practices in data management and trade performance analysis.EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, International Trade, or a related field.At least 3 years of experience in trade performance, finance, or related fields.Prior experience in the shipping industry is a plus.Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and visualization tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work with cross-functional teams.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and process efficiency.Multi-lingual advantages – spoken, read and write which will facilitate communication with respective counterparty.Possesses a valid right to work in Singapore.Please indicate the below information in your resume :
