Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head of Finance & Accounting Operations to lead and oversee the financial operations in Bangladesh, Singapore and the UK. Responsibilities include banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, and taxation. This role will also have responsibilities as Accounts Controller for our Singapore and UK entities, ensuring end-to-end financial governance and alignment with corporate objectives across regions.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting Operations
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including banking, vendor payments, customer collections, and month-end closings.
- Lead the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with local regulatory and tax requirements.
- Ensure strong internal controls and risk management processes are in place and consistently followed.
- Coordinate and manage local audits, statutory filings, and tax submissions (VAT, corporate tax, etc.).
- Develop and optimize finance SOPs, ensuring alignment with group policies and local compliance.
Accounts Controller – Singapore & UK
Maintain oversight of financial operations, accounting integrity, and compliance in the Singapore and UK markets.Collaborate closely with local teams to review financial statements, budgeting, and cash flow management.Support strategic financial planning and reporting for group-level consolidation and analysis.Ensure timely intercompany reconciliations and accurate financial reporting across entities.Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team in Bangladesh, Singapore and the UK.Foster cross-functional collaboration and communication with regional and group-level stakeholders.Drive continuous improvement and automation in financial processes and systems.Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA / CA / ACCA certification preferred.Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Proven experience managing multi-country finance operations, preferably in a retail, e-commerce, or manufacturing environment.In-depth knowledge of Bangladesh financial regulations and international accounting standards.Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.Proficiency in ERP / accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite) and Microsoft Excel.Preferred Qualities
