About the team you are joining
Reporting to the Regional Director Distribution & Payment, Asia-Pacific (“the Regional Director”), the position will be the regional lead for IATA’s Financial Settlement Systems Services (“ISS”) and the Agency Programme’s Local Governance agenda in Asia-Pacific (ASPAC). The incumbent will maintain stakeholder service levels, whilst supporting both IATA’s transformation efforts and the airlines’ advocacy efforts, to address industry changes in the areas of the ISS, distribution and payments.
What your day would be like
- Defining ASPAC objectives for Passenger and Cargo Services. and Governance.
- Managing the execution of ISS and Governance campaigns and activities in ASPAC.
- Representing ASPAC regional Governance at local and global governance forums, as a subject matter expert.
- Coordinating and guiding the regional submission of Governance working papers, educating local committees on Governance matters and participating in the various Conference meetings.
- Proactively ensuring that the Agency Programme and any operational developments are incorporated into Local Governance Meeting Agendas.
- Acting as the key contact person in ASPAC for ISS services and Governance-related matters.
- Continuously advocating for and driving a standard Governance agenda in the region.
- Establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with regional and local industry associations.
- Any other responsibilities, as assigned by the Regional Director.

You have a university degree in Business, Economics or Management Information, or another relevant discipline.Working experience of at least 10 years, with at least 3 years’ experience in managing a team.Knowledge of IATA’s Financial Settlement Systems Services and Agency Programme Local Governance would be highly advantageous.Excellent people and project management skills, with the capability to lead team members to deliver on time and under pressure.Ability to think "outside the box" and to challenge the current ways of working, to drive continuous process improvement.Strong interpersonal, presentation and persuasive skills, including the ability to communicate and interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and from different organisations and cultures.Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and report writing skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously.Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.Travel will be required.Travel Required : Y
