Description

This is a global resources company involved in the exploration, development, and production of base metals. Following its recent acquisition of a major nickel business, the company is setting up operations in Singapore to support its expanded trading footprint. The finance function will work closely with colleagues across Brazil and London, while the local team remains lean and focused. Kerry Consulting is exclusively partnering with the company to appoint a Financial Accountant . This is an exciting opportunity to join an international business at a pivotal moment of expansion and build the finance operations from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the regional Finance team, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for :

• Managing full set of accounts, monthly closings, and financial reporting
• Supporting statutory audits, tax filings, and compliance
• Coordinating with the global finance team in Brazil and stakeholders in London
• Acting as a key finance point of contact for the Singapore operations
• Supporting ad-hoc projects related to the business transition and systems

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant (CA / CPA / ACCA or equivalent) with 5-8 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and accounting. Experience in commodities, trading, or related sectors would be advantageous. You are comfortable working in a lean set-up, proactive in communication, and able to coordinate with global teams across time zones.
