Roles & Responsibilities
The Director of Information Technology will lead the strategic and operational development of the company’s IT infrastructure, driving scalable solutions to support rapid growth. This role requires a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on execution, including the implementation and administration of key platforms, migration to secure cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS), and customization of systems, such as document management systems, including coding when necessary. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a startup mindset, capable of balancing high-level strategy with hands-on technical work.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Assess and prioritize IT needs across growth, and scaling stages, ensuring cost-effective and secure solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to leadership and cross-functional teams to support business goals.
- Lead the implementation and customization of ERP, CRM modules to optimize business processes.
- Oversee selection, onboarding, configuration, and ongoing administrationof platforms.
- Ensure seamless integration and user adoption of platforms, providing training and support as needed.
- Plan and execute the migration of IT infrastructure to secure, scalable cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Design and maintain cloud architecture to ensurehigh availability, security, and performance.
- Implement best practices for data security, compliance, and disaster recovery in cloud environments.
- Lead the design and development of customized systems tailored to the startup’s needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to define requirements and deliver user-friendly, scalable document management tools.
- Build and mentor a lean IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and consultants to support IT initiatives.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective procurement of IT tools and services.
- Ensure IT policies, procedures, and controls meet regulatory and audit requirements.
- Lead risk management efforts related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and business continuity.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).Minimum 10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a startup environment.Proven expertise in implementing and customizing ERP / CRM modules and administering existing platformsStrong experience with cloud infrastructure, including migration, security, and management.Hands-on experience with IT system administration, network setup, and cybersecurity best practices.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Comfortable working in a startup environment, with a willingness to wear multiple hats and adapt to evolving needs.Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2) relevant to the Company’s industry.Background in developing or integrating APIs for seamless platform connectivity.Tell employers what skills you have
