Roles & Responsibilities
Core Objective & Overall Responsibility
Core Objective : To ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards by comprehensively planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling internal operational processes. This enhances customer satisfaction and continuously optimizes workflows, reduces costs, and increases profitability.
Overall Responsibility : Oversee the entire production process from order confirmation to final project acceptance and installation.
Detailed Functional Breakdown
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Order Review : Collaborate with sales and design departments to review new orders for technical feasibility, material requirements, and delivery timelines.
- Schedule Creation : Develop detailed weekly / daily production plans based on order priority, production capacity, and deadlines.
- Resource Allocation : Efficiently allocate manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure smooth execution of the production schedule.
- Progress Tracking : Monitor the production progress of each project in real-time, identifying and resolving potential delays promptly.
2. Team Management & Development
Department Coordination : Lead and manage production supervisors, installation team leaders, etc., coordinating the work of the three core teams : design, fabrication, and installation.Task Assignment : Delegate clear production and installation tasks to various teams.Skills Training : Organize training to improve employee skills in equipment operation, new techniques, and safety protocols.Performance Evaluation : Assess the efficiency and quality of the production and installation teams.3. Quality Control & Assurance
Standard Setting : Establish and improve quality inspection standards for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.Process Monitoring : Oversee workshop and installation sites to ensure each step meets technical and quality requirements.Problem Solving : Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues (e.g., color differences, workmanship defects, installation errors) and oversee corrections.4. Cost Control & Material Management
Cost Monitoring : Participate in project costing and monitor actual production costs to ensure project profitability.Material Management : Supervise the procurement, storage, and usage of raw materials and consumables to minimize waste and loss.Efficiency Improvement : Reduce unit production costs by optimizing processes and improving equipment utilization.5. Supplier & Outsourcing Management
Supplier Evaluation : Manage relationships with suppliers for materials (e.g., LED modules, acrylic sheets), assessing their quality, price, and delivery reliability.Outsourcing Coordination : Source, evaluate, and manage subcontractors for specialized processes (e.g., special plating, large-scale welding).6. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Safety First : Establish and strictly enforce safety production regulations, conducting regular training and inspections.Site Safety : Emphasize on-site safety protocols for the installation team, especially regarding working at heights and electrical safety.Environmental Management : Ensure compliant disposal of workshop waste (e.g., paints, chemical solvents).7. Client Communication & Problem Resolution
Installation Coordination : Liaise with clients or property management to schedule installation times and site access.Issue Handling : Address urgent problems arising during production or installation, communicating explanations and solutions to clients in conjunction with sales.Key Skills & Qualities
In-depth Industry Knowledge : Thorough understanding of signage materials (acrylic, stainless steel, aluminum composite panel, etc.), processes (printing, engraving, bending, welding, assembly, etc.), and installation procedures.Excellent Management Skills : Ability to lead, motivate teams, and resolve conflicts.Strong Communication & Coordination Skills : Effective communication with internal departments (sales, design) and external clients / suppliers.Problem-Solving Ability : Quick decision-making and effective resolution of unexpected issues (e.g., equipment failure, urgent schedule changes, quality problems).Data-Driven Mindset : Ability to analyze production data (e.g., labor hours, material usage, defect rates) to identify issues and optimization opportunities.Attention to Detail & Quality : High standardsTell employers what skills you have
