Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth initiatives across the region. This is a strategic role designed for a hunter who excels in a competitive environment. The ideal candidate will not only identify and secure new business opportunities but will also possess the exceptional skill to "sell ice to an Eskimo" – demonstrating unparalleled value in a saturated market. You will be responsible for crafting compelling, tailored proposals and will have the unique autonomy to design and negotiate competitive compensation packages to attract and retain key talent for our clients as part of our advisory service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Development & Sales :
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed aggressive revenue targets for the firm's entire service portfolio.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and leveraging existing industry connections.
- Conduct in-depth needs analysis with potential clients to understand their pain points and strategic objectives.
- Masterfully articulate the value proposition of our services, differentiating OA GoC in a competitive market.
- "Sell ice to an Eskimo" by winning clients from competitors and creating demand for our services where it did not previously exist.
2. Client Solutioning & Proposal Crafting :
Structure and price complex, integrated service solutions (e.g., combining tax, corporate secretarial, and advisory services).Prepare and deliver high-impact, professionally written proposals and presentations.Utilize industry knowledge to advise prospects on best practices and strategic approaches.3. Compensation Package Advisory & Design :
Leverage deep expertise in Singaporean, Malaysian, and Hong Kong employment markets to provide value-added advisory to clients.Design creative and competitive compensation and benefits packages (including salary structures, bonus incentives, ESOPs, and other perks) for our clients to help them attract and retain top-tier talent.This service will be a key differentiator in our corporate advisory offering, led by this role.4. Market Intelligence & Relationship Management :
Build and maintain a robust pipeline using our CRM system.Act as a brand ambassador, representing OA GoC at industry events, seminars, and networking functions across Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.Gather market intelligence on competitor activity, pricing, and emerging industry trends to inform our strategy.5. Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing :
Work closely with the service delivery teams (audit, tax, corporate secretarial) to ensure a seamless handover of new clients and that client expectations are met.Mentor junior business development staff.Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 8-10 years of proven B2B sales / business development experience, preferably within the professional services industry (e.g., corporate services, audit, accounting, legal, consulting, or banking).A demonstrable track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and closing high-value deals.Must possess a verifiable history of successful "hunting" and opening new accounts in a challenging environment.Extensive experience and knowledge in designing compensation structures and benefits packages is highly desirable .Established network and connections within the business communities of Singapore, Malaysia, and / or Hong Kong.Willingness to travel regionally as required.Tell employers what skills you have
